Ponder This:

Real public servants are free enterprising individuals who, inspired, embrace challenge, take risks, and create, sometimes big, and often, they create jobs in the process, all out of their ideas, and self initiative...

I’m in Georgia, volunteering for next week's Georgia Senate run-off race between Republican Saxby Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin. Thanks to the wonder of technology, I’m as close as your nearest radio, Digital cable system or internet connection.

“The vote is … one with potentially large consequences, since hanging in the balance may be a Democratic supermajority in the Senate.” Collin Levy, WSJ Politcal Diary entry, Wednesday November 26,2008

I’ll share more insights into the Latino vote and what we need to do to get it back. It’s do or die for Republicans. With 67% of the Hispanic vote having gone for Obama, I hope we stop digging and reconfigure. Women are a big component in the picture.

First, our movement for Liberty is not hospitable to any semblance of the Know Nothings. Second, our product is freedom and liberty, and sales and marketing of our product, are honorable endeavors, morally and ethically grounded. It does not debase our principles to regard our mission as marketing and selling our ideas to new markets. It’s Capitalism, free enterprise, the freedom to exercise our God given free will.

If you need to debrief, and get the angst off your chest, I invite you to call in and share your Thanksgiving tales of giving thanks alongside of your relatives who voted for Obama and company.

The Governator Reprises His Role as a Villain, Wins Top Honors

Field and Stream Magazine recognizes Governor Sarah Palin and her policies as the real friends of nature and our ability to co-exist with nature, and indicts Governor Schwarzenegger for his politically correct, anti-business, anti-liberty, anti-2nd Amendment, anti-hunters, chic-green policies which in the end hurt people, and don't do much to protect the environment or our supplies of wild fish and game.

Frank Schubert, president of Schubert Flint Public Affairs, one of THE MOST successful in the business, in America, joins me to discuss the question: Where do we go from here? Schubert was a featured columnist on The FlashReport on Nov 13th and his firm managed the Yes on Prop 8 campaign.

How do we change the direction of California politics from its downhill slide? How does the Republican Party avert descending into complete irrelevance?

Republicans must connect outside of our comfort zone, and Prop 8 illustrates how it can be done, to advance liberty and reign in government’s unbridled expansion. Fresh off the battlefield, another victory to an outstanding record, Frank will speak to the question on everyone’s mind today.

CA Republican leaders in the legislature have fought valiantly, long and hard, to defend the taxpayers, families, and the creators of wealth and prosperity, the business class, from a relentless assault on our property, our wallets, our rights to govern over our own affairs, and our dwindling discretionary income.

There is no satisfying the beast that is our state government. Its only vision is to take as much as they want from those who have anything left to be taken and then distribute it. The Republicans need us to get in formation and advance our position.

There is a way... Join me, Saturday, November 22, at 11AM PST.

VIDEO: Joy Behar Says Homeschooled Children Are “Demented”

I don't know why I care what this demented woman says or thinks... She really gets under my skin. Everytime I come across a clip of her, I find myself snearing and hissing at her...Elisabeth Hasselbeck should bring in a whole ensemble of homeschooled kids, including artists who are painters, writers, composers, mathematicians, inventors, and entrepreneurs. They can go up and pat Joy Behar's tiny little head that houses her tiny little brain, and tell her "it's OK--we know not everyone is capable of grasping how much we accomplish, and how fulfilled, self expressed, mature, responsible, independent and self directed we are, and we can understand why you couldn't appreciate that..."

Conservative 2.0: PajamasTV, 130 minutes video of talkers, bloggers, young conservatives and writers talking about Where do we go from here?

One segment consists of two libertarian bloggers, Dr. Helen Smith and InstaPundit.com's Stephen Green interviewing Huckabee on the relationship between libertarians and social conservatives, the next segment includes Jude and Orange County Young Republican Shawn Fago talking about ideas, delivery, message, and young voters...another segment is bloggers and their take on what happened and where we're at... It's pretty interesting. Great discussion. Thumbs up!

Saturday, Post radio program.

My guest today was Richard Rider from the San Diego Tax Fighters' Group. He's a wealth of experience and information and true crusader for the taxpayers. It's a topic that can numb your brain or paralyse you with the sense of being powerless against the collective strength of government employee groups, their unions, and the politicians they help elect to 'negotiate' their contracts and pay raises.

I've been focused on the social conservative issues and thinking about how to establish the coalition of citizens we are not connected with, who are conservative, but vote lock step with the liberals. I haven't quite seen the way yet... I have an idea, but it's germinating. Talking with Richard helps see the possibilities. I think the most exciting idea for me came at the end, from a caller who asked Richard about whether or not we could force government agents to put any proposed pay raise to the people's vote, because the common practice for local governments is to vote themselves payraises and benefits with impunity. Richard's response, it's been done and it works, it's a good idea, and "Do it."

Michael Steele Makes it Official: He's Running for GOP Chair

I have no idea who the current chair of the GOP is. I read a local paper, the WSJ, RealClearPolitics, Drudge and e-based newsletters and columns everyday. I'm sure I've read the name, or read a commentary along the way, but it left no impression. I presume it's a he, because if it was a she, that would've been news.

We are where we are, and the good news is we are soul searching. I hope those in the position to decide, first ask the right questions, and then make the right choice for leadership and direction.

The disaster started in the 2006 elections. However, in ’08, we didn’t change. Now we’ve lost all footing in the all of the major urban cities on the East and West Coasts and the Northwest. Our message got muddied. We are adrift. Capitalism is on life support.

We lost any previous gains into the Hispanic voter demographic despite the fact that minorities are a natural market for the GOP's core principles. Immigrants don’t come here for welfare. They come for possibility and opportunity. Problem is we have to deliberately take our message to the people who don't know us. They aren’t getting our message on MSM TV or print, and they don’t listen to conservative talk radio. We have to do grassroots work. It's a missionary calling! It's spreading the truth about capitalism. We have to sell competition through choice in education, policy that is supportive of small businesses to grow and provide the jobs everyone is concerned about. It's about flexible, affordable, innovative dynamic health care insurance. It's about individual responsibility coupled with the liberty to self organize.

The urban and metropolitan areas in this country are full of entrepreneurs with an independent streak, and they are a natural constituency. We have winning principles and ideas and we've got some good talent in the Republican politicians that survived the routing in Congress. What we need is good leadership, that inspires, based on priniciples and aimed at measurable results.

I don’t know who is the chair for the RNC today. I bet if you commissioned a poll, few Republicans would know who the current GOP chairman is. I know who Michael Steele is. If you catch him on TV or on radio, he makes an impression. He gets his point of view across, boldly. He's consistent. He has demonstrated that he is principled, strategic, visionary and a formidable communicator.
He would be a total game changer as the new face and voice of the Republican Party. A mentor from my youth used to say 'you're either green (not as in PC dogma green) and growing, or you're ripe and rotting.' Steele's the anecdote to what we've got now.

Check out his website here: http://www.draftmichaelsteele.com/

McClintock's lead expands to 1,283 according to his campain blog's latest post

Our lead has now widened to 1,283 votes out of 326,395 counted, or 0.39 percent. We are now taking 50.20 percent of the votes counted and need 48.49 percent of the remaining 42,500 ballots.

Chauvinist O'Reilly keeps the scurrilous gossip going on Sarah. Claims he's fair, reporting relevant news, but he sat on the John Edwards story.

Last Summer when Edwards' affair with the mother of his love child broke in the Enquier, O'Reilly was too respectible and fair minded to report the story on Edwards, despite witnesses, and photos placing Edwards in the lobby and then the basement and then hiding in a men's room in the hotel at 3am. Such ethical standards! But he just can't get enough of the salacious gossip from anonymous sources, and invites hate mongering washed up hags, misogynists and younger dimwits, to trash Sarah Palin. His integrity about news only applies when it's a guy, ladies, but if it's a woman... Plays with Sarah like a cat with a caught prey. He acts like he has a vicious vindictive streak and he's cross because she has never come on his show, the number one show, as he's always reminding us. He complained about it for the whole two months of Sept and October and the four days in November. I hope she NEVER comes on his show. And I hope his ratings drop because other women, like me, stop watching him.

Confirmed: It Looks Like Obama Just Got Away With Largest Election Donations Fraud in History

Listen, Adapt, Be Positive: Michael Steele--The New Leader of the GOP? That Would be Great!

He articulates what I believe the GOP is supposed to be about, and what I thought it was about when I left the Democratic Party back in '92. Steele personifies the empowering, dynamic, pro- growth leadership of the GOP. He's got the vision, is a great communicator and has great integrity! He would definitely be a game changer.

Camille Paglia's post on Obama, Palin, and the next four years vaporized any calm I was feeling and I’m creeped out again over what we’ve just done

The part of this post that What she writes about Bernardine Dohrn, is what creeps me out.

This paragraph of Sarah picked me up.
I like Sarah Palin, and I've heartily enjoyed her arrival on the national stage. As a career classroom teacher, I can see how smart she is -- and quite frankly, I think the people who don't see it are the stupid ones, wrapped in the fuzzy mummy-gauze of their own worn-out partisan dogma. So she doesn't speak the King's English -- big whoop! There is a powerful clarity of consciousness in her eyes. She uses language with the jumps, breaks and rippling momentum of a be-bop saxophonist. I stand on what I said (as a staunch pro-choice advocate) in my last two columns -- that Palin as a pro-life wife, mother and ambitious professional represents the next big shift in feminism. Pro-life women will save feminism by expanding it, particularly into the more traditional Third World.

Free People, Free Markets: The Foundations of Liberty, Jan 24, 2009

This is a good idea. Every community of activists for the American way, should be holding courses like this one for their grassroots.

Minnesota Ripe for Election Fraud

When voters woke up on Wednesday morning after the election, Senator Norm Coleman led Al Franken by what seemed like a relatively comfortable 725 votes. By Wednesday night, that lead had shrunk to 477. By Thursday night, it was down to 336. By Friday, it was 239. Late Sunday night, the difference had gone down to just 221 -- a total change over 4 days of 504 votes

GOP Needs Night of Long Knives

Clean House.

Governor Sarah Palin to Young girls: Yup You Better Work Hard, You Better Study Hard, 'cause it's a double standard down there in the other 49.

Yup, there's going to be a couple of extra hurdles for every young woman in America. It makes us work that much harder...In Alaska, the women are tough, and there's equality, and she says come on, to the rest of us... equal opportunity and equal treatment!

Post Election Program: Where do we go from here?
Dedicated to the proliferation of conservative populism, defined by Jeffrey Bell as "optimism about people's ability to manage their own affairs better than elite can do so for them." I pulled this from an op-ed Ralph Benko penned here. I like it. It’s a good launching point.

The Hispanic vote went 66% for Obama. Why? Does winning over Hispanics mean compromising principles? No.

Prop 8 passed in CA and the Black vote was the largest voter block, percentage wise, in its favor. The Hispanic vote was second. That’s conservative family values in play.

Single women as a block went overwhelmingly for Obama. They put him over the top. Millions of disaffected Democrats broke with the Democratic Party and got solidly behind McCain and Sarah Palin. Will they come back in 2010?

Dr. Lynette Long joins me to talk about the millions of Democrats who voted Republican in this past election. Why? And will they back Palin in 2010?

Michael Crichton, Author of State of Fear--a chilling tale and indictment of today's Environmentalist Lobby, dies at 66

The news sites and TV and Radio reports only mention his fame for authoring Jurassic Park and creating the TV series, ER, but his work, State of Fear, produced an adjunct website and spawned countless other like research sites countering politically correct and prevailing doctrine of Global Warming as a man made eminent danger.

For an interesting presentation on Crichton's impressive and inquisitive, thoughtful and creative work: see http://in.integralinstitute.org/contributor.aspx?id=31

Democrat Rep. Jim Moran says Making And Keeping Your Own Wealth Is A “Simplistic Notion”

Envy, coveting your neighbors property--class warfare. Wake call!

CNN Anchor gets in heated Exchange with Joe the Plumber Over Obama Tax Plan

Attacking Joe, is attacking everyone who knows it's wrong to make a person who earns more, to pay a higher percentage, a punitive additional amount, on what they earn. It's ganging up on the individual. Today, those who earn more pay more; they pay a high percentage on their income already. Obama's idea of fair taxation is not fair, it's confiscatory.

ABC's 20/20, Vargas interrogates Palin over $150K Wardrobe (oldnews) but will anyone ask Obama about the $700K he spent for lighting self in Berlin?

What about Obama's election night party? $2 million, What about for his stadium pillars and stage and lighting at the convention? Weekly Standard reported: $140,000 Spent on DNCC Podium and the Barackopolis UPDATED: Total Construction Costs at Invesco Total $5.3 Million.
Washington Times reports Obama spent $700,000 on stage lighting for his Berlin act. Where are the reporters questions and harranging of the Senator over that? Oh no, they wouldn't want to get thrown off the Obama plane or cut off from any further interviews, not that Obama or Biden are doing any lately.

Biden was invited but 'he declined.' I guess he's back in quarantine for this last leg.

Botched Paramilitary Police Raids: An Epidemic of "Isolated Incidents"

"If a widespread pattern of [knock-and-announce] violations were shown . . . there would be reason for grave concern." —Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, in Hudson v. Michigan, June 15, 2006. An interactive map of botched SWAT and paramilitary police raids, released in conjunction with the Cato policy paper "Overkill: The Rise of Paramilitary Police Raids," by Radley Balko. What does this map mean? How to use this map View Original Map and Database

Death of an innocent. Death or injury of a police officer. Death of a nonviolent offender.
Raid on an innocent suspect. Other examples of paramilitary police excess. Unnecessary raids on doctors and sick people.
The proliferation of SWAT teams, police militarization, and the Drug War have given rise to a dramatic increase in the number of "no-knock" or "quick-knock" raids on suspected drug offenders. Because these raids are often conducted based on tips from notoriously unreliable confidential informants, police sometimes conduct SWAT-style raids on the wrong home, or on the homes of nonviolent, misdemeanor drug users. Such highly-volatile, overly confrontational tactics are bad enough when no one is hurt -- it's difficult to imagine the terror an innocent suspect or family faces when a SWAT team mistakenly breaks down their door in the middle of the night. But even more disturbing are the number of times such "wrong door" raids unnecessarily lead to the injury or death of suspects, bystanders, and police officers. Defenders of SWAT teams and paramilitary tactics say such incidents are isolated and rare. The map above aims to refute that notion.
